| Introduction | My name is Shannon and I am a mother of five children. Two beautiful teen girls and three wild and handsome young boys. I started this blog back in 2012 during the beginning of homeschooling my oldest two with an infant on hip followed by baby #4 in 2014. I wanted a record of the work we did as well as just share the adventures with family and friends. Since then our family experienced a very ugly divorce in 2015 and the children had to go into public school as I had to return to work as a single mama. Fast forward to now...I am remarried and we now have five children. During current world wide pandemic we have realized how divided our family was from the busy life and decided now is the time to start homeschooling again. |
| Interests | I am interested in cooking, crafts and gardening. After working as a teacher in a Daycare/Learning Center as well as homeschooling I have found my main passion is children's development of minds and emotions. |
| Favorite Movies | My favorite movie is the Newsies. |
| Favorite Music | My stations flip all day long. We listen to lots of 90's/Hip-Hop/R&B. Loving our satellite stations on our drives. |
| Favorite Books | Growing up I loved mystery stories. Lots of Phyllis A. Whitney. That style just seems to keep me interested enough to finish. Now as and adult and mother....I tend to just read whatever I am reading to the younger kids as well as books and articles on children's development and growth. Faith and devotional books as well. |
