| Introduction | I am an NH transplant to GA with the USN. My Husband and I like to foster animals that otherwise probably wouldn't have a chance in the real world...or just need a pit stop on the way to a new home. This all started with our first foster, Colbert. He was one of 5 puppies brought in feral and abused, one has lye burns to her face, all were antisocial and wanted nothing to do with humans. Colbert, formerly known as Zambia, is a corgi mix and quite possibly the runt of the litter. He has become quite the character, obsessed with fetch, he loves his Papa, and can't stand to be without his big brother Max. Colbert's foster period ended February 8, 2008 when my husband adopted him and he officially became one of our pack. We have since gone on to foster others and I have carried on (Or attempted to) this blog to tell our story and how we deal with the wild cards that pop up with having a rotating 5th dog in our core pack of 4. |
