| Introduction | is a Maryland based artist specializing in oils, acrylics and pencil. After the birth of her daughter she chose to take a leap of faith and leave her career to focus on family, and her true love…art. A lover of all things vintage, she is deeply inspired by the colors and patterns found in design elements of the 40’s and 50’s, the textural abilities of oil paint and the beauty in nature. More recently, her inspiration comes from the lessons she has learned from becoming a mother and the amazing affect her daughter has had on her outlook on life. She is drawn to work which can dramatically affect the mood of a space and transport the mind to another place in time. While she is serious about her art, she finds through the creative process her pieces take on a life of their own and cultivate into whimsical jaunts. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Roanoke College in 2000 and studied in Florence, Italy at the school, Lorenzo de’ Medici and The Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. |
