| Introduction | One way to describe me is as a serene, green, bubble machine. That's one way. There are others. As a student of psychology, perhaps it's more fitting to borrow from Myers and Briggs and describe myself as an introverted, intuitive, thinking, judging machine--an INTJ. Either way, we can safely conclude I am a machine. Why, you wonder, does this clearly carbon-based life form evoke a robotic image in her self description? Well, you are quite right to ask, so I will tell you: I don't make mistakes. (See also, carbon chauvinism.) Actually, that's not remotely true. Here are some actual reasons: I'm a perfectionist, constantly analyzing and organizing the world and all of the things in it. I also tend to be fairly composed, ostensibly exhibiting a narrow range of emotions. Lastly, I am not especially social; spending time lost in my own mind is often more than sufficiently entertaining. (For example, I like to imagine various people and things as being hamster-powered. How fun is that?!) |
