| Introduction | What about me? I am who I am because of the family and friends in my life, from my nurturing Italian family, my mom the artist, to my children sharing their lives with me, from my special, talented friends who inspire me to the loving ones who support me and have stood by my side all these years. In a nutshell (might I add that terminology is about right), I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, worked in advertising for 9 years, got married and had two children. Searching to find myself about 15 years ago, I began to dabble in painting oil paintings and writing, thus leading to selling my artwork in stores in and around Chicago, the country and Europe. I have sold over 525 paintings through the stores, galleries, and commissions. Currently I am painting acrylic and oil paintings, occasionally creating some mixed media. My lifetime project is my book filled with comedic essays. When I am not creating, I am a mom 24/7 along with job sharing at an ad agency. |
| Interests | Spending time with my kids,Pilates, painting,making jewelry, writing, creating, playing tennis,playing golf, floating on a raft in my friend's pool, talking for hours with my friends, riding my bike, walking my dog Lucy with my friends or with my ipod in my ears, reading, eating fabulous food, craving an occasional Big Mac or Taco Bell crunchy tacos. |
| Favorite movies | Amelie, Chocolat, Big Fish.. actually all movies directed by Tim Burton, i.e. Ed Wood,Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas--they are magically and creative. I like old movies--Some Like It Hot, American in Paris, Hitchcock. I love to laugh, so comedies are up on my favs--Waiting for Guffman, Something about Mary, Best in Show. I am big fan of Toy Story, The Bee Movie and such...Last movie seen Django and Silver Linings Playbook--wow.. Love Arrested Development, Downton Abbey, Mad Men, Breaking Bad. |
| Favorite music | This is a tough question. I am o.c.d. when it comes to music. Love concerts. Enjoy seeing local bands. My music ranges from Lady Gaga to Placebo, Dave Matthews to Michael Franti, Kings of Leon to Ingrid Michaelson, TI to Talking Heads--80s Rock; 70s Dance; XRT! |
