| Introduction | After 30 years of searching, I finally have found my place in ministry. In July of 2007, I took a one-year interim position as chaplain at a women's prison. At the end of the year, when the regular chaplain returned from sabbatical, they decided to keep me also. We currently house about 192 inmates, but we will have over 450 in a couple of years. It is a difficult job, but the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I also am married to Danny Dalton. We met at Ridgecrest Conference Center in 1981, and he is still on staff there today. We have a 24-year-old daughter Johanna who is the most brilliant human being I ever met. She is an up and coming jewelry maker, and I hope to soon have pictures of her work available. We have a mutt named Princess who rules the roost. Danny and I are charter members of The Chapel Door (www.thechapeldoor.net) in Fairview, NC. We are an ecumenical congregation that just celebrated our sixth anniversary. |
