| Introduction | Hi, I’m Katie. I married my high school sweetheart in 2001 and then launched into the crazy role of a pilot’s wife. At that same time I got my first “real” job teaching 5th graders in a public school. When I was pregnant with our first child in 2004 I knew I didn’t want to give the best of myself and my day to other people’s children so I embarked on the adventure of a lifetime as a stay at home mom. Four kids and a Canon 7D later, I’m trying to keep my head above water managing life solo while my husband is away, homeschooling our children, and most recently loving on foster babies in our county. I am passionate about my Catholic faith, learning alongside my children, documenting our crazy life, eating real food sans gluten, encouraging others to seek God in the daily grind, and days filled with books and lots of playing outside.
