| Introduction | I'm a mom to 4 beautiful beings here on earth and 10 sweet heaven babies, including our sweet little girl Brookelyn Maria, who was killed by a caregiver at 5 months old. We've survived a decade since the day we lost Brookelyn, and though none of the years have been particularly easy, we've had moments of sunshine including a little boy and little girl who will never get to meet their amazing big sister. I've gone from quiet and do as they say, to quickly learning that you cannot change something you are not aware of. Having been unable to speak about the trauma and issues the current judicial system is set for has impeded in healing, and it's impeded in the education of the general public as to how things currently operate and why it is so detrimental. I can't promise to remain composed, in fact my blog posts from years past have been full of in the moment rage and disbelief that were both justified and warranted. I will however always try to back what I say so you can inform yourself with knowledge as well. |
