Introduction Known to friends as Rambling Russ, he reinvented himself after retirement from nearly 40 years in computers, as a truck & bus driver. Five years in the Navy and Marines. After military service he entered the newly emerging computer field, capping his career with a professional speaking tour throughout North & South America. Enjoys travel, is a private pilot with 500 hours PIC, & an experienced ocean sailor, having spent many hours sailing the waters off southern California. As a professional driver, he has traveled the entire U.S. Also drove trucks in Iraq & Afghanistan in 2007 under the handle “Geritol”. Later drove transit, commuter line, and tour buses. Drove trucks at Yosemite National Park, and a "bus on steroids" for a prominent world class seismic testing company. Married to Helen, five children & five grand-children. Not being a man of few words, he is writing a book of his adventures to pass along to his children and grandchildren. He has lots more to say, and say it he will! He is passing along his stories, adventures, advice, & his opinions, of which he has many.
