Introduction Rachel is a PhD candidate and international postgraduate at the University of Otago, New Zealand. Her research is on "The Impact of Globalisation on an Emerging University in the Global South: Tanzania". She seeks to contribute to the policy and practice universities in the Global South. Her research interests are globalisation, internationalisation and higher education. Rachel earned her bachelor degree in English Linguistic and master degree in Tourism from the Universiti Putra Malaysia. She has been a lecturer, teacher and research assistant. In her free time, she enjoys photography, teaching English to migrants and swimming.
