Introduction Amy Banson is 23, and lives with her family in the ACT. She was born and raised in Canberra, and is currently studying a double degree in Theology and Social Work. She also works at a youth refuge.

In July 2005, Amy witnessed a crime where a young student named Clea Rose was struck by a stolen car in the centre of Canberra. Amy cared for Clea in the minutes before the ambluance arrived. Clea died from brain injuries three weeks later.

After seeing what had happened to Clea, Amy started asking questions about brain injury. She found that the support available to people with brain injuries and their families in Australia was very poor. She decided to undertake the walk to raise money for people with aquired brain injuries (ABI), and to raise awareness about the impact that ABI has on our community.
