IntroductionI grew up in a suburb of Seattle, riding horses where now there are housing developments and shopping malls. I have raised 3 children, made 'home' in an abandoned house, lived on a farm, on an island, and now in wheat country of Washington State. I love my husband/best friend, our kids, my friends and our dog. I also love to garden. There have been many different jobs along the way, but gardening and landscaping for others and at home have been my favorite. I love all things vintage and antique, a love passed on to me from my parents. When I was young my family annually visited the Oregon coast, frequenting antique stores, old bookstores, and second hand stores. Our souvenirs and mementos were always old treasures found in a corner covered with dust. Now with a bit of life behind me, my blog will be reflecting on the past: what I've learned, what I'm working on, vintage items being restored or repurposed (I call them deux overs) and always photos. I believe we have to reflect on the past, learn from it, and move forward into today and tomorrow. I hope you come along with me and enjoy the journey!
InterestsI am interested in all things old. Antiques, vintage, old time wisdom, ideas, hints and wives tales I love old buildings and old cars. Through the lens of my camera, I like to capture the details. I love holidays and decorating and made idea books in old photo albums long before pinterest was created! I love sharing my ideas my photos, and what I've gathered along the twisted turning path of my life, and hope you find something you are interested in on these pages!.
Favorite moviesMy favorite movie is Ever After, but I love historical romantic movies and romantic comedy. Also, I love Johnny Depp. I think he could play any character ever created and do it with his flair and style. He is very underrated.
Favorite musicMusic is the language of the spirit and soul. I love most music, from.country, classic rock, soft rock, jazz, big band, to instrumental accompanied with the sounds of nature. But I like music, NOT noise. When my ears think it sounds like noise, I simply turn it off! Easy enough!.
Favorite booksThe Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher is my favorite. I have read it every summer for about 8 years. I love historical fiction, and fiction set in England or Ireland, and 'who dunnits'. My book shelves are full of gardening books. There is something I enjoy about planning my gardens during the winter with a cup of coffee and gardening books in piles beside me. I use the internet to look up things all the time, but I still like the feel of a book in my lap and a cup of something hot in my hand!

Please describe how you could take the peel off an apple all in one go:

Give it to a horse. It will eat it all at once!
