Introduction	I am a just-retired historian who is finally moving permanently to my home in East Margaree. I taught history at Carmeton University for many years and am a specialist in Atlantic Canadian history and Public History. My particular interest of late has been with the formation of identity based on heritage in Cape Breton. While my interest in Genealogy is mostly scholarly, I have managed to trace my own Muise family back to the mid 17th century arrival in Acadie.
