About me

Introduction	Painting and drawing make me happy - the scratch of the pencil across paper, the smush of the brush, the flow of color, the smell of paint. I've been an art student, an art teacher, co-founder and director of a community art center. I also tried life without art-making for a few years. That just didn't work out so well. I work in an art journal and a couple of sketchbooks almost daily. The practice is nourishing, surprising, messy, illuminating, relaxing and invigorating. I live in New England with my wonderful family (for whom I am so grateful!) and two pugs who keep me laughing every day.
