About me

Introduction Hello. For years I collected alone, slightly village-addicted, pitied by my long-suffering family and friends. But my head is out of the ground. Christmas villages have so beguiled me that I am dancing cheerfully to their whimsical siren. Jazz in the City. Play-Doh in the North Pole. Whaling in Nantucket. The list of topics is longer than my attention span. I barely have time for CNN. I welcome those who would like to pilgrimage with me to the land of Claus, villages, history, trivia, Charles Dickens, mouthwatering recipes, and Christmas cats. Where it is exactly that we going? I’m not sure yet, but it will be more fun if we travel together, and what tales we will have to tell! To the (well-decorated Christmas) table I bring a Masters in Humanities from Stanford, and years of experience as an analyst, owner of a silk flower decorating business, and even coordinator of anesthesia services for a non-profit. More importantly, I bring two rescue cats, Hemmingway and Chanel, my muses, who control me, since my errant children have left and my husband has given up.
