Introduction BIO: Mia has her B.A. in Psychology and is a former Victim's Advocate in Colorado where she currently resides with her husband and three young children. She is a mother, wife, blogger, practicing writer. Since her eldest son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 9 months, her family has been on an arduous journey of sifting through specialists, pushing them for answers of the unexplainable. Beyond Cerebral Palsy, her son is diagnosed with Landau-Kleffner Syndrome (a rare epileptic disorder effecting comprehension and articulation of speech), PDD-NOS and Sensory Processing Disorder. In addition to advocating for those with intellectual and physical challenges, Mia candidly discusses the challenge in finding a balance between parenthood and self, while sharing their inspirational, humorous and sometimes heart-wrenching journey on her blog, leaving no person feels isolated in their own journey.
