Mark S. Gagne

About me

Location Val Caron, Ontario, Canada
Introduction is a 32 year-old visual artist that was born and raised in the Northern Ontario city of Sudbury and currently resides in the suburb of Val Caron with his wife and children. After graduating in May 2003 from the Fine Arts program at Cambrian College, he was recruited by the Sudbury Arts Council as a Special Projects Coordinator. During his tenure there Mark immersed himself in the Sudbury arts scene. In September that year he made his exhibition debut in a successful solo exhibit at the Sudbury Arts Council gallery. A group exhibit followed soon thereafter at the Black Cat Too Cafe/Gallery in downtown Sudbury in November. The summer of 2004 saw Mark's work featured in an art exhibit at the Cedar Street Gallery and Mark is currently exhibiting at the Books & Beans Cafe/Gallery. Recently Mark has begun to document the world around him through the lense of a camera, photographing the many features in the Greater Sudbury area that many people pass by daily but don't seem to notice. The result has been a mutually rewarding experience for both artist and audience.
