| Introduction | Sarah and I formed Two Girls Shop back in the fall of 2009. My degree is in Interior Design, and Sarah's degree is in Law. We both took time away from our professions after children but found we both needed an outlet for creative design. We started refurbishing furniture. We then started noticing forgotten old beautiful jewelry. I remember purchasing my first painted porcelain brooch. Not one for wearing brooches I wanted to restyle and reinvent it to make it fresh and current for todays fashion. We love antique jewelry, but who wears brooches any more? Maybe on a winter coat or your old jean jacket, but by transforming it into a pendant on a necklace, we found that we could wear it almost everyday. After taking a couple metalsmithing classes we found we could transform just about anything. e |
