Introduction	Since falling in love with the redwoods that surrounded her throughout her youth, Shivani has committed herself to painting as an act of love to Nature. She paints en plein aire, which translates as "in the open air", for the sake of exposing herself and her work to as much of the raw power of natural beauty as possible. Her mission is to recompose in vivid color our memories of The Rhythm of the land, and to bring about action in response to it.
