| Introduction | I've been teaching Spanish for almost 10 years in Illinois and I enjoy learning, teaching, and making connections for myself and my students. All boundaries and challenges can be crossed and conquered by learning more about ourselves, our world, and where these two points intersect. I am hoping to grow specifically in fluency and to become a better teacher for my students. A little known fact is that my babysitter, Miriam was Puerto Rican and I think she planted the first seed of Spanish in my life, then my interest and abilities really grew with my Mom who always encouraged me to continue studying Spanish since, "...you're so good at it." I thank the Rural School and Community Trust and its Rural Global Fellowship for making it possible for my students and I to experience Spanish in Guanajuato, Mexico!!! |
| Interests | Taking walks with my awesome husband of nearly 7 years and our dog, Rue. Visiting Car Shows during the Summer in our 1955 Pontiac StarChief. Learning more Spanish, it's a lifelong study! Watching Walking Dead, House Hunters, and in general asking questions! If you're a member of my family or my friends, my apologies for the varied and many questions I've asked over a life-time! What can I say, I love to know WHY and to Learn more everyday! |
