About me

Introduction	29 years old mother of three boys under 8. Owner of two thirds of a degree in Chinese studies from the University of Manchester, slowly converting into an Open Degree from the OU one part-time module at a time. Currently over skilled yet underpaid in my day job so decided to take up a new challenge, iPhone App creation. Has an obsession with both ‘the Guardian’ and ‘the Daily Mail’, just to give you an insight into the split personality you’re dealing with here. I like to elongate my letters liiiiiiiike this and I occasionally write in capitals to REALLY stress my point LIKE THIS. I blame the ‘Daily Mail’, and the falling standards in schools. Just a quick word on the blogs name, ‘Appymum’: Terms like ‘mumtrepreneur’ tend to make me vom (how about just a straight up ‘entrepreneur’ minus the patronising front tag?) But I like ‘appymum’, It’s a PUN! God, I love a good pun. It’s certainly more upbeat than ‘imgoingtoslitmywristsifihavetostandonatillagainmum’ or ‘givemeamorethanminimumwagejobnow’ mum which were the other serious contenders, so apologies for the tweeness, but did I mention I like puns?
