| Introduction | I am a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines and a contributor to Chicken Soup for the Single Parent's Soul. I write about the subjects of health, alternative medicine, chronic pain, caring for aging parents, interior design, real estate, small business and travel. I also write the occasional humorous essay just for the hell of it. I'm a person of many creative interests and no mechanical skills. I've been writing for 11 years; some for myself and some for others. I've traveled throughout Europe, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, to Canada, and through much of the United States. I've taught art, dance, English literature, interior design, memoir and autobiography. I have just published my first memoir, Briarhopper: A History. The second, Accidental Cowgirl: Six Cows, No Horse and No Clue was published in October, 2007. |
