| Introduction | I attend El Cerrito High School, where I enjoy taking part in community service through the Interact Club and participating on the mountain biking team. Although I have never been very good at mountain biking, I find it a great way to exercise, meet friends, and have a whole lot of fun. In my free time, I like to go adventuring with my friends, sew, and cook. However, this free time is ever-shrinking due to my elephant-sized class load, and commitments to the Interact club, in which I am part of the leadership. I am the youngest of my family, and my older brother Jake attends UMass Amherst with a constantly changing major that I believe is settled on Chinese...for the moment. My father is a choir teacher and my mother is a costumer. Yet, despite their artistic careers, I was born with no artistic talent at all. I don't know what my future holds, but I have always been interested in science, which is what motivated me to apply for the physics program at Penn. |
