| Introduction | In May 2009 my life changed forever. I had a grand mal seizure for the first time in my life, was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a tumor in my brain. I was devastated. I had surgery a month later when it was confirmed as cancer: an oligoastrocytoma grade 3 in my right temporal lobe. I had radiation with temodar for six weeks. I also had cyberknife. I then took temodar for a year and a half. I get MRIs every few months and after 2.5 years the cancer has not come back Praise God! It has been a long difficult journey, but with the help of family, friends, and faith in Christ I live with hope of this new normal that is much more meaningful than ever. |
