Introduction	Judy McFadden, a coal miner's daughter born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, has experienced a special connection with animals, especially dogs, throughout her life. As a certified Therapy Dogs International volunteer and a member of K-9 Therapists of Las Vegas, Judy and her Scottish terrier, McDuff, were featured on local television and newspapers in recognition of McDuff's outstanding therapy dog work. Her short stories appear in Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can’t Believe My Dog Did That! (September 2012) and Dogs and the Women Who Love Them. Dog Writer’s Association of American nominated Life with McDuff for a special award in 2010. Judy has appeared on Las Vegas Morning View TV Show and KLAV Talk Radio Aspect of Writing. She speaks to audiences to promote awareness of Therapy Dogs International, Reading with Rover, and the therapeutic benefits of therapy dogs and animal assisted reading programs.
