Introduction Wayne studied painting, photography and ceramics at Harford Community College, Towson University and The Maryland Institute College of Art. He returned to Harford and taught ceramics along with being the artistic director for The Arc of Harford County, where he used his studio at the college to teach ceramics and painting to his developmentally challenged clients. When Wayne retired, he moved his studio to his home in Longford, which is where the shop's name comes from. Wayne's home studio is equipped with a potter's wheel, an electric kiln and the pit fire kiln he built. All of the earth tone glazes used on the pottery were made by Wayne and are non-toxic and food safe. Wayne's pottery can be found in many collections throughout the country. Recently Wayne's artistic work has come full circle and he is now concentrating his artistic skills on photography again, which is where his creativity started as a child. Early in his schooling Wayne was told to always take his camera with him and he has a large portfolio of photographs from his many travels, which he is always adding to.
