| Introduction | I currently teach 6th grade English Language Arts, but I hope to someday be a school librarian. To make this dream a reality, I enrolled in Texas Woman's University's graduate program in order to receive a Masters Degree in Library Science. I will be using this blog to post reviews I write for LS-5653,Multicultural Literature for Children, under the direction and guidance of Dr. Sylvia Vardell. While I enjoy teaching, there are times I understand Walt Whitman's desire to just wander away from the statistics and numbers that overwhelm the profession and "[look]up in perfect silence at the stars." Moments like those leave the statistics behind and open up pure enjoyment of reading and sharing books with my students. |
