| Introduction | As long as I've had my own home, be it a dorm room, an apartment, or a bona fide house, people have complimented me on how I create a "home" that shows flashes of my personality, my love of family, and a single-minded dedication to comfort. THEN - I finally got an apartment with garden space. I went from being that young kid forced to weed her mother's gardens over summer break to BEING that mother. I love to haunt garden shops, throws seeds in vacant lots, and generally spend hours ruminating in the greenery of my garden. When I wasn't working (different story, different blog), I spent my spare time reading shelter magazines, bringing stray furnishings home, and generally driving my spouse to the brink with some pretty harebrained ideas that involved power tools (which I do not know how to operate or have an irrational fear) and rearranging the furniture.
