Introduction Once upon a time, and just what seems like a few years ago, ran away from home, traveled all over the Western United States. And I haven't settled back down since. Life proved interesting, the changes, and what I discovered was nothing and then myself, the confrontations, the testing, the pushing, the loneliness and the suffering of all the loss, and then the awareness. There was the art that I kept trying to do and finally lost a bit of. And the camera, that saved me, gave me a sense of life, a sense of purpose. And there were words too. I see life. And amazingly it is everywhere. And the images I find such beauty in are not out in the wilderness somewhere but right next to the road, right on the corner, right in plain sight. What I rediscovered too were the words that were missing, words that told stories and touched people and made life more interesting. So, here I am, seeing if life can make sense and sharing the moments that this crazy woman who ran through the 13 western states sought to find. Humor, laughter, sadness, restlessness, pain, sorrow, awareness and understanding, life and beauty. In words, in images.
