| Introduction | Favorite Things: The Smell of bleach in a bathroom, rain on hot pavement, homemade bread fresh and steaming out of the oven, picking up a warm just-laid chicken egg, truly a marvel. I love a garden sprouting a row of green fingers out of dark earth or squash vines growing by the foot in a day, small grandchildren hugging or playing happily together so like a tree full of chickadees. I thrill to a rosy-pink sunrise or a fiery red sunset, glitter-like stars in a cloudless night or a laser-white and rising full moon straddling a mountain canyon. |
