| Introduction | My first experience in the fashion industry was at 16 when I became a sales person in a clothing store around the corner from my high school. By 17, I was managing the store and by 23 I was a Director of Visual Merchandising for the California Stores. I've never left the industry since, working for over 20 year. Ive worked with retail store designers, visual merchandisers, managers, sales staff, and marketers with experience for large companies and small, including Kenneth Cole, CP Shades, Limited, Express, Cache and more. My expertise has led me into teaching and running a fashion program at a college, as well as consulting for several small boutiques and larger retailers. I love the industry and the business. I travel to NY, Paris and London, as well as Seattle, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco and Miami , constantly attending conferences, networking with industry professionals and staying abreast of the business. |
