| Introduction | I've been a die hard, card carrying member of Raider Nation since 1973 when my father was stationed at Naval Air Station Alameda CA. My brother and I would ride his 60cc mini bike through the alleys and back streets to the practice facility and watch practice. The instant Otis Sistrunk signed my hat, I was a Raider fan for life. I've lived through the great times and the bad times. I'm not jumping off the band wagon now...no matter how bad it is!!! I've worked in a lot of different fields, but only feel at home when I'm coaching or writing. As a coach, I live for the "light bulb moment" when a kid suddenly "gets it!" As a writer, I live for the moment when a reader says, "hey, I never looked at it this way!" I am currently a featured columnist on www.Bleacherreport.com as "Jay Dee" and a regular contributor to www.Raidernews.com as "Coach Jay Dee". I also occasionally contribute to www.Raiderbeat.com. I follow football and NASCAR religiously, baseball regularly, hockey a bit, Tennis some and Golf some. I have an opinion on just about everything and I'm not afraid to share them, no matter how unpopular they might be! |
