Interests A practitioner of the classical Serrada Escrima training method since 1992, I teach an art form that can be used for self protection, mental acuity, and recreation. I teach thru the application of theoretical drills, classical technique, and direct-force applications for personal protection. The Serrada Escrima training method has a reputation for being quickly learned in a "short" period of time. Students grow in proficiency at a rapid pace. What allows for this type of accelerated advancement is a built in redundancy in the architecture of the art, resulting in an interdisciplinary art form covering the areas of impact weapons, edged weapons, and hand to hand combat. A practicing martial artist since 1986, I trained in a variety of martial arts. Classical Serrada Escrima has been my core art since 1992. I actively taught classical Serrada Escrima, Empty Hand Combat, and Knife Combat in San Antonio, Texas from 2007 to 2013.
