Occupation Retired
Location United States
Introduction Kathy and I retired and moved back to Alabama after spending 4 years in Louisville, KY and 28 in Sebring, FL. We grew up in Alabama and we wanted to get back to mountains, "real" trees, changes in the seasons, and good Southern people after so long in south central Florida. We're big Auburn University football fans and go to all the home games so moving back to Alabama has saved a 940 mile round trip, 3 day event 7 times each fall to return to Auburn's games! We have wanted to build a log home for nearly 20 years so a few years ago we bought 3.25 acres of mountain property on the crest of a mountain overlooking about 40 to 50 miles of beautiful valleys and other mountains. After 3 hurricanes hitting our house in Florida in 2004 and having damage to the roof and 5 rooms inside it took over 9 months of living with a blue tarp on our roof to get it fixed (since there were 780 people ahead of us on the roofer's list), we finally got the house fixed and then sold and moved to Alabama to prepare to build this house. It's going to be a long process, but now that it's begun we're excited and looking forward to its completion.
Interests Auburn Tiger football, woodworking, log homes, reading

Do you believe that forks are evolved from spoons?

No. Forks evolved from sharp sticks and spoons evolved from forks that got so dull from use that the prongs had worn off.
