| Introduction | While not a morning person, I love starting my day with IB English. I love good discussions on good literature and fresh ideas. I hope you will find that you also value new ideas and viewpoints from both the literature we read and the peers you interact with this semester. Outside of the classroom, I still enjoy a wealth of reading along with spending time with my family. I have one daughter, Lucy, and one on the way. Lucy and I both like yoga and practice it regularly. We all enjoy traveling and spent this past summer traveling through Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and China. I have also been to Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, England, Italy, Mozambique, South Africa, and Swaziland. I love that the IB philosophy encourages a global perspective as that is important to me as well. I believe understanding other cultures makes us kinder, wiser, and more interesting people. |
