| Introduction | I am a wife of 17.5 years to a wonderful, caring husband, and mom to four chidren--16 yr old DD1, and 13 yr old DS1 and DD2 (yes, twins!)and 4 yr old DS2. Part time, I am a wedding & substitute church organist and accompanist. I'm passionate about my faith in Christ, and love a plethora of musical styles, ranging from chant and classical selections to contemporary Christian easy listening, & even rock. I play several instruments, but my main loves are piano and organ. I have been busy exploring different spiritual practices to deepen my faith, including spiritual direction, online retreats, & exploring the offerings of Prairiewoods--our local Franciscan spirituality center. I love to travel & learn about other cultures, thanks to my parents who took me on many trips, both domestic & foreign. Unfortunately, these days, that learning comes primarily only through reading & the awesome programming on Iowa Public Television, not in the physical act of travel. Another strong interest is breastfeeding education & advocacy, coupled with exploring a more holistic way to parent & live. |
