| Introduction | I am an artist and a retired art educator(9-12 public school). Since August of 2008 I started a new adventure. I have become completely hooked by learning to play fingerstyle guitar. My mentor is Richard Gilewitz whose expert guidance is serving me well. I have a patient and loving husband, John, who has latched onto playing mandolin while my obsession with guitar has developed. Therefore music is another thing we have to share. My family includes my daughter, son-in-law and a total of five grand kids, all of whom I love and who make me proud. I am a founding member and Vice President of Fire Arts, a non-profit studio and exhibition space for 3D artists in South Bend, IN. Since retiring in May of 2013 I have dedicated myself to developing my artistic career to a new level. |

| Favorite movies | Too many to mention and unless it's a real dog, very likely to be the one I am currently watching. Avatar, the LOTR triology, Searching For Sugarman, The Hobbit, etc. |
| Favorite music | Lots of fingerstyle stuff especially Richard Gilewitz, Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Michael Hedges, etc etc. I love exotic sounds of the Middle East, Celtic music and good rock and roll. U2 is a favorite and Great Big Sea has currently joined the list. Otis Taylor and his trance blues grabs my interest frequently. The Beatles,Rolling Stones,Simon and Garfunkel, Crosby,Stills and Nash, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Loreena McKennitt, An Dro, Tracy Chapman. Yes, I am a child of the sixties. |
