IntroductionI am a born and raised Yankee (Hartford, CT) and a self-proclaimed Irish-American nomad. My first career was in public relations/special events planning. After my son was born (Drew, now 34), I went to Simmons College and earned my M.S.L.I.S. Fast forward 4 years, and I went back to school for my teacher certification, had my daughter (Julia, now 25), and took my first school librarian job at St. Louis Park HS (suburb west of Minneapolis). Since then, I've worked in both private and public K-12 schools, from inner-city to rural to country club, at all grade levels, and in several states. I spent 2 years (2016-2018) at an international school in Berlin, Germany, returned to the US to work at a private high school in Southern CA and then briefly as a university librarian in London. No matter where I roam, though, I'll keep reading and imparting knowledge. It's what I do!
InterestsTraveling, cooking, entertaining, reading, garage saling (for my eBay business), spending time with my kids!
Favorite moviesRoom with a View, Sound of Music, While You Were Sleeping, Under the Tuscan Sun and just about any other romance or romantic comedy. If it has a gorgeous locale, even better!
Favorite musicMost anything but rap, heavy metal, and country/western. When I used to buy albums, I had more Elton John than anything else.
Favorite booksLittle Women, The Thornbirds, Make Way for Ducklings, most any picture book by Jan Brett, and modern-day romances (my guilty pleasure).
