| Introduction | I am an international student from Warsaw, Poland. I am a UT student. I am now a senior RTF major and business minor. As such I vote for the more liberal stance of the Platforma Obywatelska (PO). PO follows a form of conservative liberalism. I agree with its support to have privatization of the economy and expansion in the EU. HOWEVER, they also are against abortion, gay marriage, and multiple other issues which I strongly support. Therefore I consider myself more of an independent. In terms of American Politics, I must admit I am a little lost. I took the online quiz and found I stand under "Disaffected". However, I am not that religious and I dont consider myself conservative. Im confused as to my political stance/ideology. My only political experience was voting for PO in the Polish elections of 2008 when I turned 18. I have never been ardent about following politics- especially American politics. Apart from fulfilling a UT core requirement, I am taking this class to learn more about where I am at and how politics work in America, specifically Texas. I want to be able to discern where I belong in this big tangled web. |
