| Introduction | I've been covering football league games for the national press as a freelance for about sixteen years now and games in the Championship as well as Leagues One and Two. More often than not I look for stories that could best be described as footy banter. By the time the paper comes out on a Monday morning, most people have seen the action or read about it in the Sunday papers and so I try to get the stories behind the key figures; the player who scored the winner, the keeper who saved in the dying minutes, etc. |
