| Introduction | My blog is exUUberance because I find much joy and humor in life and love to celebrate my UU faith. I discovered Unitarian Universalism in 1992 (in Madison, Wisconsin) and immediately joined what is now called the Madison Unitarian Universalist Young Adult and Campus Ministry (MUUYACM -- pronounced "moo-yak-um") program. (The group's previous name was not as fun to say.) As a member of the First Unitarian Society of Madison, I've had a number of different roles these past fifteen years. My first role was Sports and Outdoor Activities Subcommittee Chair! My most challenging, spiritually enriching and rewarding role so far: "Chalice Group Goddess." I am currently taking a break from lay leadership (after ten years of being a chair of something). My spouse and I met at FUS and married in 1997. We love living right on Madison's isthmus (between Lakes Mendota and Monona). |
