| Introduction | I am a Canadian who has been pursuing a career in Optometry since I was about 15. I got my first job at an Optometry office and then got a BSc from the University of Waterloo. I applied twice to Optometry schools in North America but never got accepted:( So I went to Georgian College and studied to become an Optician, but I never gave up on my dream of being an Optometrist. When I heard about the Optometry schools in the UK I looked into them and decided to apply. I got into several of the schools but ultimately decided to go to Aston University in Birmingham England. It will be a long road but when I'm finally done with all my education I'm looking forward to coming back to Canada to practice Optometry! |
