About me

Location Alaska and Arizona
Introduction I was raised in a cooking family with access to a wide variety of fresh vegetables and seafood. I first started cooking at about age 4 with my Great Aunt Lucille making swan shaped cream puffs and have been cooking ever since. Going into the kitchen and creating is my form of relaxation. As a teenager I began working in restaurants and worked my way through college. I was lucky enough to work at the Ark Restaurant and the Shelburne Restaurant both located on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington and both world renowned for their food. Due to the fact I like to cook and enjoy good food it is sometimes difficult for me to go out to dinner. I like to order things I can't make at home, don't make at home or things I would like to try to make at home. I am not usually satisfied with mediocre food. So I thought I should do some restaurant reviews, now if the newspaper thought so too, it would be great. Other things about me.... I moved to Alaska in 2004. I am an avid fisher-woman. I find myself experimenting in the kitchen trying to invent new ways to cook the fish we get so that we eat it all by next fishing season. I also truly enjoy baking.
