| Introduction | Medical School is a strange and beautiful world where we are given the chance to discover exactly what we are made of; literally and figuratively speaking. While the students are off in class, learning more than they will ever need to know about physiological functioning, their spouses are hard at work, learning everything there is to know about courage, creativity and compassion. We must develop courage to endure the many ups and downs of student life; we must get creative when board study schedules become brutal and boring; and we must have compassion for our spouses and for each other. MSA is here to help you and your student spouse along the discovery process. Whatever this process may bring you, if you find yourself at the end of your rope, we are here to help you “tie a knot and hang on.” When you’re there, never forget to look around—you will inevitably find your MSA friends hanging right by your side. |
