| Introduction | I'm a 26 year old girl from British Columbia, Canada. I have suffered from an eating disorder since I was 18; a combination of anorexia with binge-eating episodes and laxative abuse. I'm really just taking it one day at a time and hoping that blogging and connecting with others who suffer the same things I do will help us to overcome this. It's not easy to talk about in real life because of so much shame and embarrassment associated with the situation. I also find that people don't think it's a big deal for someone who isn't overweight. But for me it IS a big deal because it controls my life in a big way. |
