| Introduction | Welcome to Cumberland's Literacy Resource Center for Parents, Teachers and Students. My name is Mrs. Gretencord and as you will soon learn if you did not already know, teaching reading is my passion. This is my 9th year, (my how time flies) of teaching and each year it feels like my first. These kiddos teach me new things every single day. I have taught first grade, Reading Recovery and Title I. (Yes, which means I teach reading ALL day long, how lucky am I?) I am a graduate of Purdue University(Boiler Up) and am currently working on my Master's at Ball State! As a mother of my own sweet little reader and a teacher of all of your sweet, little readers, I am always reading the latest research and looking for the best resources to make reading fun. It is my goal for our children to develop a lifelong love of learning and reading. I hope that you find the resources on this site insightful and useful. Together we build readers one book at a time!
