| Introduction | Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Member of Bhartiya Janata Party, RSS Pracharak. Political Journey: • In 1979, joined Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh. • Became a Sangh Pracharak in 1981. • In 1985, appointed as Nagar Pracharak of RSS at Dehradun, Uttarakhand. • In 1993, was appointed as Secretary (Organisation) of BJP. • Worked as a State Secretary (Organisation) of BJP, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand between 1997 and 2002. • Active participation in the statehood movement for separate Uttarakhand state. • In 2002, he became an MLA from Doiwala Constituency. • He was again elected as an MLA from Doiwala constituency in the year 2007. • Aappointed as National Secretary of BJP in March 2013. • Appointed as Co - In charge of Uttar Pradesh with Amit Shah by Bhartiya Janta Party. • Was appointed as an Incharge of BJP, Jharkhand in 2014. • Aappointed as one of the members of "Namaami Gange" to clean Holy Ganga in 2014. • Became the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in March 2017. |
