IntroductionCharlie Day has a first class BA in Fine Art from Central St Martins in London and is currently studying MA Fine Art at the University of Brighton. He has exhibited in many group shows including the famous Summer Show at the Royal Academy and Burning Bright for the Saatchi Gallery at the Hyatt Hotel in London, where his work "Big Hunk O' Love" was exhibited in the Saatchi Suite. His "aggressively slack paintings" (Martin Herbert, Time Out) are often nostalgic reminiscences of his and his family's past. Upon graduation he helped set up and continues to manage Collective Studios, an affordable studios for recent graduates and early career artists. Day’s work is in public collections, including the University of the Arts and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and in private collections in Portugal, Spain, Italy, US and UK. He is represented by Opus Fine Art Gallery in the UK, and by Galeria Miquel Alzueta in Barcelona and Girona, Spain.
