Introduction | I work as a Principal Architect for PROGRESS Software since 2002. Before that I was employed by IONA Technologies and Sterling Software. I began my consulting career in the mid 80's - even before I joined the German Air Force to study computer science. After an officers training and receiving my degree I spent a couple of years in the Air Force programming mainframe applications. In these days I was hooked by middleware components and have never left the field since. I am now in the consulting team dedicated to Open Source Technologies at PROGRESS Software as I believe that's where a large portion of the software market is headed. When I am not into architectures, I enjoy my family life in the Bavarian mountains with my wife, 2 daughters and 3 dogs, teach Yoga and read books (especially those not related to computer science). |
