| Introduction | I am a member of an extended family of five siblings and nineteen grandchildren. I have four children and five grandchildren. I have one dearly beloved wife. I am dearly blessed. Family is not God but it approaches closely. Then there's my spiritual family stretched over many years and many countries. I am blessed. Then there is the treasure chest of ways I experience God, including nature and photography. I am blessed. I love technology and all the ways it helps me to be creative and communicative. Yet, it is always so ridiculously tempting to buy more and learn more and do more. The latest gadget or program is so attractive! Sometimes even demonic. Yet here I am heading off on a sabbatical with the deep longing to learn even more about taking pictures, processing and printing and even framing and matting them. I often feel like I am tettering on the edge of a sword... |
